This resort is one of the best, most affordable places to relax with kids in Malaysia. Special children's meals are served throughout the day, there's a fun kids' club, a mini-playground and even an ingenious worm-composting system for ecofriendly nappy disposal. On the northeast coast, the beach here is better suited to playing in the waves than swimming. No wi-fi.
Chalets in this two-hectare plot are dark but beds are comfortable and most units have a terrace, a bathroom and a fan (per person double or twin RM290, single RM425; family bungalow for two adults and two children RM925). A-frames close to the jungle are the cheapest options (single RM340). There's also a dive centre and plenty of activities on offer. Boat transport is extra and will cost RM100 return (RM75 one way) to the Tanjung Leman jetty. Internet is available – free of charge for the first 15 minutes, then RM15 for 15 minutes, so keep this in mind if you don't have data roaming.
