Like a traditional Malay village, Kunang-Kunang takes the form of a clutch of antique wooden villas. The 12 units are decked out in charming retro furniture with the occasional contemporary touch, some with heaps of room. They're not exactly near the beach, but the pool, which is set in a pond, is a unique way to cool off.
