Wai Kei Cafe

Top choice in George Town

This unpretentious roast pork and chicken rice specialist sits just yards from the greatest concentration of travellers in George Town, yet is somehow almost exclusively patronised by locals. Come early for char siew (barbecued pork) and siew yoke (pork belly), served with stir-fried greens, soup, rice and a spicy dip. It's closed one day a week (the day varies).
