Restoran Kapitan

George Town

For our money, the best tandoori chicken in town – full-flavoured, with strong ginger and garlic tones and plenty of chilli heat – is served at this busy 24-hour canteen, alongside a vast menu of north Indian standards. Foreigners tend to be steered to the quieter upstairs dining room, but it's more fun to eat downstairs in the open-fronted main dining hall.
