This former Chinese medicine warehouse has been artfully restored into a boutique hotel where history seeps from every creaking floorboard. Each of its 17 differently sized rooms carries reminders of the building's former life – like the corner 'Tub Room', equipped with wooden soaking tub. There's no lift, but bags are hauled upstairs by the friendly staff using a pulley system.
