The signature dish of smart Din Tai Fung is xiaolongbao, gorgeous Chinese dumplings with various fillings, including crab roe, pork and chicken, but there are many other dishes on the menu. Devouring xiaolongbao requires a certain dexterity – watch out for the scalding meat juices within, so take a nibble first to let out a little of the searing liquid.
Din Tai Fung is still proudly blowing its 'New York Times World's Top 10 Restaurants' bugle, though that accolade was bestowed 25 years ago.
