We like Nak for its quirky lobby of oxblood walls, Chinese lanterns, giant bird cages and Oriental vases. Rooms aren't large but they are stylish, with retro elements and functional en suites. On the ground floor is an excellent kopitiam (coffee shop). Best of all, however, one of the city's finest eateries, the Ba Lin, perches on the rooftop.
