Established in 1977 and now a popular local chain with outlets in a number of the city's malls, Madam Kwan's specalises in nasi lemek (rice boiled in coconut milk, served with fried ikan bilis, peanuts and a curry dish) but also whips up a wide array of wok and noodle dishes. The surrounds are slightly more upmarket than other mall eateries.
It's perennially popular, so you'll need to queue at peak meal times. Give your name to the door staff and they'll call out your name when a table is free.
