Atelier Marta Pejoska

Top choice in Ohrid

Ohrid-born Marta trained as an architect and decided to dedicate herself to the traditional Macedonian craft of filigree – silver thread weaving that has the appearance of silver lace (pieces from €25). Marta is a charming host and works to order as well as displaying and selling her existing designs. She often has exhibitions in her small shop.

Amid the tourist tat that is sold around Ohrid, this is a truly special find, both for the value of preserving local craft and for taking something away that is original and unique.
