Finally this popular Souk El Tayeb farmer's market stall has a storefront! Famous for her country-style saj (grilled flatbread) with the freshest greens, zaatar (a blend of spices that includes hyssop, sumac and sesame) and rustic cheeses, Em Ali does a brisk business at her cute Gemmayzeh shop. Clientele are diverse, friendly and grateful to no longer have to wait for the weekend for Em Ali's carby goodness.
