Captain’s Cabin

Beirut

Countless bars have come and gone in Beirut, but Captain’s Cabin, in the Hamra district, has weathered decades of war (and smells like it). Founded in 1964, it still maintains its original decor – with a vintage pool table, darts and tottering wooden chairs. The prices are among the fairest in town and the owner is an infinite source of knowledge on the city’s history.
