Probably the friendliest vibe in town; head here to soak up sunset views on its chill-out terrace decked in low cushions and an open-pit fire, and choose from freshly prepared organic Hmong food, wood-fired pizza, plenty of vegetarian options, or whole barbecued Mekong fish or chicken. If there's a crowd, linger for laojitos: mojitos made with lòw-lów (rice wine).
Daauw also runs a new daytime cafe by the stairs up to Wat Jom Khao Manilat. All of the income generated by both properties goes back into Project Kajsiab, an initiative to empower Hmong women.
