Ariu Guesthouse

Kosovo

This farm guesthouse in the idyllic mountain village of Reka Allages sits on the Peaks of the Balkans trail and forms a launch pad for tackling Mt Hajla. The basic accommodation is in six- to 10-person dorms, though a new and more luxurious building was under construction at research time. A stay includes all meals, most of which are made from organic, home-grown food.

Not much English is spoken, though the owners do speak German.
