This shabby but charming colonial hotel was built in 1922 and is a delight as long as you don't expect too much from your room. Set around an inner courtyard, the rooms are comfortable but elderly, infused with a certain grandmotherly charm. Anyone can take tea (or meals) on the verandah, which is complete with 1970s-era table numbers, bow-tied waiters and old-fashioned tablecloths.
