This canteen restaurant is as unpretentious as they come, but it's always busy whatever the time of day. Super-cheap bowls of hummus, falafel and fuul (fava bean paste) are quickly served up to be washed down with mint tea, maybe with some eggs if you're feeling fancy. Takeaway sandwiches are also available. Female diners will be directed to the family salon upstairs.
