T’mol Shilshom

Jerusalem

Whether you settle into the book-lined interior or the shaded courtyard, T'mol Shilshom is one of Jerusalem's most relaxing brunch spots. This friendly kosher joint is best known for its shakshuka: classic, spicy or cheese-laden versions of the Middle Eastern egg-and-tomato bake are on offer, always with a mountain of fresh bread, salad and olive tapenade.

Dig in, or simply grab a coffee and watch the local literati leafing through Israeli and English classics.

It’s a little tricky to find: follow signs through the stone arch on Yo'el Salomon St, walk down the passageway, turn left and head to the end of the courtyard – the cafe is upstairs.
