Hotel Koé Tokyo

Shibuya & Shimo-Kitazawa

The 10 rooms here, with walls the colour of the ocean at night and slate, glass-enclosed bathrooms (the work of Suppose Design Office), are beautiful, but you do pay dearly for them: the entry-level rooms are small and the suites are devastatingly expensive. The location, though, is suburb: dead-central Shibuya but with zero street noise.

All rooms have access to a private lounge where a welcome drink of matcha and complementary breakfast from the bakery downstairs are served.
