Setagaya Public Theatre

Shibuya & Shimo-Kitazawa

Setagaya Public Theatre, comprising a main stage and the smaller, more experimental Theatre Tram, is the city's top venue for contemporary drama and dance. Plays are in Japanese unless otherwise noted; butō (an avant-garde form of dance) is sometimes staged here.

The theatre is inside the Carrot Tower building connected to Sangenjaya Station, a five-minute train ride from Shibuya.
