Ginza & Tsukiji

This venerable tea seller's main branch is closer to Tsukiji, but this classy outlet in the Kabuki-za Tower has a Kengo Kuma–designed cafe where you can sample the various Japanese green teas, including matcha; sets, which include wagashi (Japanese sweets), cost ¥1100 to ¥2200. Enter on Shōwa-dōri.

Book for its tea-tasting experience (¥3200; 11am to noon), which covers four different types of tea.
