Daibutsu Ryokan

Sweet Daibutsu Ryokan is run by a friendly, helpful family eager to share their knowledge of Takaoka. The rambling old house is built around two Japanese gardens, one featuring a personal, meditative koi (carp) pond. The ryokan's one-block proximity to the Great Buddha means you can have the large gentleman all to yourself in the evening or early morning.
