Nanraku is Miyako-jima embodied in an izakaya – an earthy, convivial atmosphere, with ingredients sourced from local bounty. Chef Nanraku-san is a local boy, and his celebration of the island's cuisine and its provenance shines through in what he plates. He's famous for the nekomanma (donburi with bonito and umibudō). Splurge on Miyako beef sashimi (¥3500 for a small dish for two).
