Nikkorisou Backpackers

Nikkō

The closest hostel to Tōshō-gū offers a riverside location and a relaxed, friendly vibe. As it's run single-handedly by the English-speaking Hiro, guests need to be elsewhere between 10am and 4pm, but at any other hour the roomy kitchen, huge deck and cosy common area are havens for hanging out. Well-maintained hybrid mountain bikes are available for rent (¥500).

If checking in or moving on between 10am and 4pm, there are lockers by the front door to store your bags.
