There's nothing fancy going on here, but Rokusei's a temple to reimen (cold noodle soup) nonetheless. Bowls are pulled straight from the freezer, filled with chewy noodles in delicate beef broth, then topped with chopped green onion, kimchi, sesame seeds, beef and half a boiled egg. It's ultra-refreshing on warm Beppu summer days. No wonder there's often a queue outside.
