Mimiu Honten

Osaka

Mimiu is the originator of a beloved local speciality called udonsuki (a hot-pot dish of simmering chicken, clams, prawns and seasonal vegetables). After the dashi (broth) has been thoroughly flavoured by all the above, udon noodles are added to the pot. At lunch, you can also get simple bowls of noodles. It's in a traditional building, with trees out front.
