Friendly and trendy, near Ame-Mura's western edge, Absinthe serves cocktails, teas and juices, plus a rare (for Japan) Mediterranean and Middle Eastern menu (falafel, hummus and baba ganoush alongside pastas and pizzas). Weather permitting, sliding doors open on to the street – and a gritty view of a car park and the city expressway on-ramp. And yes, it does serve absinthe.
