Hyatt Regency Kyoto

Top choice in Southern Higashiyama

Arguably one of Kyoto's best hotels, the Hyatt Regency sits at the southern end of the Southern Higashiyama sightseeing district. Elegant and contemporary rooms feature kimono tapestry walls and paper lanterns, and come packed with features such as a coffee-pod machine and tablet for ordering room service. Staff are extremely helpful, and the on-site restaurants and Tōzan Bar are excellent.

There is a 15-minute maiko (apprentice geisha) performance from 6.15pm each night in the lobby.
