Ohanami Kyubei

Popular with Japanese tourists (the result of a ubiquitous television advert), the Kyubei onsen ryokan (traditional hot-spring inn) is a long, narrow property vertiginously perched on Kakusenkei Gorge. Rooms have good river views, and a bath-salt scrub in the public onsen will make your skin feel as soft as a baby's bottom.
