Untapped Hostel

Sapporo

This is one of Sapporo's new hipster hostels – think raw wood and concrete – inside an old unagi (eel) shop a minute's walk from the subway. The rooms, with Western-style beds and bunks, are spotless, though it's a hike up to the 3rd-floor dorms. Common space includes a lounge with cosy woodstove, kitchen and laundry room.

There are two buildings now, a newer annexe and the older 'honkan'. It can also rent bikes, if you need one.
