JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo

You can't beat the location of this lofty hotel, virtually on top of JR Sapporo Station. Rooms are plush, service is genteel and the views are fantastic. Downer: there's a spa with a natural hot spring but even staying guests pay an extra ¥1600 to use it.
