In an 80-year-old converted schoolhouse, former classrooms now house dorms and concerts are held regularly in the gymnasium. Friendly owners Max and Yūko speak excellent English and do free pick-ups and transfers to the Annupuri slopes (a five-minute drive away). Six rooms are Western-style and two are Japanese; rates drop in the low season. Meals are first class.
