This beautiful five-star property on Venice’s Grand Canal is further from some of the city’s more heavily touristed areas, but it’s steps from some of its most beloved museums and attractions, including the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute. The Gothic facade contrasts with the more contemporary, glam guest rooms, most of which overlook the canal or the hotel’s private courtyard.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar, Atinoo’s, features the same spectacular views of the canal through its large windows. Like most restaurants in Venice, seafood dominates the menu in this innovative fine-dining establishment. Breakfast is served daily in the restaurant and bar areas (with limited seating on the canal-side porch if you can snag a table for breakfast or cocktail hour). The spread is large and varied, from pastries and fruit to eggs, bacon and cured meats.
