St Anthony's Guesthouse

Assisi

A serene convent run by Franciscan sisters, this guesthouse makes for a lovely base. It's a modest affair but rooms are clean and some even come with balconies and breathtaking views. Breakfast is served in an 800-year-old dining room, while outside there's a small garden and a statue of St Francis feeding the birds.

There's a two-night minimum stay and an 11pm curfew.
