Bar Torino

Ancona

Slinging cocktails since 1860, this righteously retro bar is one of Ancona's liveliest aperitivo haunts. The Americano and Negroni Marchigiano (with the vermouth traded for verdicchio wine) are fantastic, as are the abundant accompanying snacks. But the headline act is the Torino Special, a spiky blend of red vermouth, Campari, vanilla liqueur and bitter orange.

The name comes from the bar's claim to be the first in Italy outside of Turin to serve Vermouth.
