Top choice in Montepulciano

Chef and cookbook writer Sunshine Manitto presides over the kitchen of this chic enoteca overlooking the Palazzo Vecchio Winery, 13km northeast of Montepulciano. Windows frame vistas of vines and cypress trees, but the best seats in the house are on the grassed rear terrace. The casual menu showcases seasonal produce (much of it grown in the kitchen garden).

When here, be sure to try a glass of Palazzo Vecchio wine (try the Terra Rossa). You can also enjoy a tasting of three/six Palazzo Vecchio wines (€15/25) or take a cooking class (€165 including wine tasting and lunch or dinner) here.
