Lucca


The great Giacomo Puccini, who came from a long line of Lucchesi musicians, was born in Lucca and grew up in an apartment at Corte San Lorenzo 9, today a house-museum. Buy tickets from the museum bookshop, across the square from the house-museum at Piazza Cittadella 5. Between June and September, there are free guided tours in English every Friday at noon.
