This is one of Italy's oldest hostels and though it occupies an ugly building in a less-than-scenic town, the bargain prices compensate. Dorms max out at six beds, a simple breakfast is available and there are basic cooking facilities. Florence is easily accessed by ACV/Busitalia bus (€3.50, one hour).
