Trattoria Mainardo

Marco and Sabina's cute and humble trattoria serves a tempting mix of Italian- and Alpine-style home cooking – from tagliatelle with zucchini, cherry tomatoes and squash blossoms, to roast pork with potatoes, to fantastic canederli (dumplings) with parmigiano reggiano (Parmesan) and burro fuso (melted butter). It's a popular gathering spot for Merano's native Italian speakers.
