Calf brains, sea urchins and pigeon breast are some of the more exotic offerings at this Michelin-starred affair tucked behind Sirmione's castle. The place first opened in 1972, but a recent makeover has brought it into the computer age with modern furnishings made from old materials. Even the serving plates are tasteful and everything from the homemade bread to the flavoured butter pays fastidious attention to detail.
