Al Boccondivino

A small restaurant close to Sirmione’s castle with tables pushed close together and every inch of wall covered by a mix of old movie stills and wispy watercolours (they’ve even managed to paint stars on the ceiling). Wait staff weave like dancers around the tables delivering recipes such as duck sautéed in Valpolicella wine, lake trout with polenta and stewed beef with roast potatoes. Arrive early to bag a table.
