Cross the threshold from the sunny street to the dark stone and wood interior of this suitably lived-in old cantina where a bar the size of a residential garage provides a haven for lovers of wine and aged cheese. It’s a tight but smooth operation where small plates of bruschetta (try the truffle, mushroom and cream of radicchio) make a perfect accompaniment to the kings and queens of Italian wine (take a bow Barolo and Barbaresco).
