Bulgari Hotel

Milan

Just as the adjacent Botanical Gardens were used to develop medicines, the first Bulgari hotel serves up a rejuvenating tonic, with its cool, calming decor, peaceful gardens and divine spa. Located on a private road behind Milan's Quadrilatero d'Oro fashion district, this hotel was exquisitely designed by Antonio Citterio, best known for his work for furniture company B&B Italia.

The result is a wonder of wood, marble and granite that defines Milano cool and exudes warmth at the same time. There's a restaurant and champagne bar, as well as an excellent gym and spa with a gorgeous golden lap pool. But the best bit is just hanging out in the gardens and lounge areas.
