Caupona Taverna di Sicilia

Trapani

Fresh fish rules the menu at this fabulous family-run spot two blocks from the port, which markets itself very much as 'la casa del cuscus trapanese' (the House of Trapani Couscous). Needless to say the couscous and seafood classics such as pesce spada alla pantesca (swordfish in a sauce of tomatoes, garlic, parsley, olives and capers) are all superb.

Save room for the monster-sized cannoli – big enough for two, easily.
