La Tonnara di Scopello

Western Sicily

Fourteen self-catering apartments are scattered across several vintage buildings at this historic tonnara (tuna fishery), theatrically tucked on the water's edge, with sun terrace and rocks from which to take a dip. An oasis of peace and tranquility out of season, summer unfortunately transforms the tiny cove by day into a busy, tourist-busy attraction.
