Museo Arte Contemporanea Sicilia

Old and new conspire at MACS, a compact, contemporary-art museum inside an 18th-century abbey of the Monastery of St Benedict. Occupying two floors, the collection includes over 70 works, from painting and sculpture to photography and mixed-media pieces. Artists hail from Sicily, mainland Italy and other corners of Europe, as well as countries as far-flung as Cuba, Argentina and Singapore.
