Agriturismo Sa Mandra

Top choice in Northwestern Sardinia

This smart, beautifully maintained agriturismo serves fantastic farmhouse food, inspired by the culinary traditions of the mountainous Barbagia region, from where the owners hail. For vegetarians there's a dedicated menu featuring aromatic cheeses and home-grown roasted vegetables, while meat lovers can tear into island favourites such as spit-roasted pork or boar with wild fennel.

Much of what you eat is produced on the agriturismo's farm, which you can visit before eating.

To get here head towards the airport – the agriturismo is signposted to the right of the SP44.
