You'll feel immediately part of la famiglia at this agriturismo, which rests in peaceful solitude in the countryside, 20km northwest of Nuoro. The welcome is heartfelt, mealtimes are cheerful and communal affairs, and the mostly home-grown food is terrific. The farm rears lamb and produces its own formaggi, salumi, honey, sweets, olive oil and wine.
It's also one of the only places in the world where you can try the rare su filindeu pasta, served in mutton broth. Advance reservations are obligatory.
