Osteria Margutta

Tridente, Trevi & the Quirinale

This vintage osteria (tavern), around since 1965, oozes theatre: a rich interior mixes blue glass with rich reds and fringed lampshades, while the flower- and ivy-strewn street terrace is one of summertime's prettiest. Plaques on the chairs testify to the famous thespians who've dined on its classic regional dishes here. Top wine list and occasional live jazz too.
