For unbeatable value near Trevi Fountain, reserve a table at this arty bistro adjoining Teatro Quirino. Theatre posters add bags of colour to the spacious interior, where a banquet of a 'brunch' buffet – salads, antipasti, and hot and cold dishes – is laid out for in-the-know Romans to feast on.

From 4pm, the bistro morphs into a cafe – until 6.30pm when the aperitivo session kicks in.
