This charming bistro is run by two sisters who formerly produced a fashion magazine, hence the chic interior. The kitchen turns out Italian dishes with a contemporary twist: risotto may be presented in crisp pan-fried blocks, soups can be laced with coconut milk and fresh herbs are used to excellent effect. Be sure to order the homemade bread basket.
Romans flock here at weekends for Babette's good-value lunch buffet (€28; 1pm to 3pm), which includes water, bread, dessert and coffee. Breakfast (dishes €3 to €15) is popular, too.
