Trattoria Pommidoro

Monti, Esquilino & San Lorenzo

Throughout San Lorenzo’s metamorphosis from down-at-heel working-class district to down-at-heel student enclave, Trattoria Pommidoro has remained the same. It was a favourite of controversial film director Pasolini and contemporary celebs sometimes stop by, but it’s an unpretentious place with traditional food. The speciality is grilled meats. Book ahead, as it's extremely rare for walk-ins to be granted a table.
